Swifts Cottage Syderstone Norfolk

Syderstone can be found in North Norfolk off the main road between Hunstanton and Fakenham and is under ten miles inland from the coast. It is well placed to explore the highways and byways of unspoilt North Norfolk. The village of Sydertstone is well over a thousand years old and is even registered in the Domesday Book of 1066, but the village gets its name from the earlier Anglo Saxon period.

Swifts Cottage is approximately 150 years old, and has been tastefully re-furbished to include modern facilities, while retaining character features such as exposed beams.

It has a large, well-lit through-lounge with a wood burning stove, tv and video, DVD player and HiFi, plus a sofabed which folds down to comfortably sleep two.The dining room and well equipped kitchen are open plan, and the latter includes dishwasher, microwave, and a washer/drier. All rooms downstairs have views of open fields, or the rear garden.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms; 2 large doubles with attractive high ceilings and 1 cosy twin room. There is a large family bathroom complete with WC but there is also a separate WC.

At the front of the rear lies a secluded courtyard garden - accessible through patio doors; ideal for a barbecue for entertaining in summer when the local swift population can be seen diving at the cottage. Further behind, beyond a gravelled track, is a long extended lawn shadowed half way by large established beech trees.
